Hello everybody I drive a GSR which is pretty much stock. I am thinking about swapping a H22 or F20. I don't know **** about the F20 other than the stroke is different than the H22 I think? I can buy either motor as a complete swap from my buddy.

well, the h22 is a vtec motor and the f20 is not. then there is the cost. h22 is probably 4x more expensive than the f20. but i think most h22 parts work in an f20. i personally would go with the 200hp h22 than the 160hp f20

 

thanks a lot... I was told though that the JDM F20 is 200 hp too just different 2.0 liter vs. 2.2. I thought it is DOHC too.

 

Try searching through the Prelude forum. They got a thread of all the information of all the motors.

 

To the best of my knowledge the JDM F20B is from the Accord SiR and it is 2.0L DOHC VTEC, 200hp and something like 155tq. Not sure the advantages over an H22, but maybe it holds boost better than those H series motors do? if nothing else that blue valve cover looks pretty sweet

i have one ..in fact ive had both ..i love the f20b it feels like a big b16 but with torque....i will neve go back to the h22 again

parts are hard to find if you wreck somthing other then that they can be had for a good price ..

search my name you should find lots of f20b in fo..its become a more popular motor in the last 6 months or so

 

Selling the GSR... Yep I think I will. I have to look at the f20 first though. Are you in Northern California?
