Well my friend has a 1994 Prelude S. he bought it with the both airbags deployed and wants to remove the extra wires and what not for the SRS system. He wants to know if it's illegal to remove the excess wires and the control uint(s) since the air bags have been deployed?? And also if removing the whatever is left of the SRS will cause the engine to go into safe mode or just cause the motor to act funny in any way??

Again, the SRS system has been deployed.

The only thing it will do is set off the SRS light on the dash, other than that all the components can be taken out. You'll need a set of Torx bits for the computer and airbag frame.

I don't know if it's illegal or not...
