Default Cleaning helmet

I need advice on how to clean my helmet. I have the old Mat Mladin Racer 1 helmet (KBC) and the inner linings come out on that helmet so that you can wash them easliy. I now have the Shoei helmet (the one with the dragon, think it is the migeul duhammel) and the inner linings dont come out of the shoei. I was wondering how/what would be the best way to wash that helmet. Sweat is pretty nasty here in 120 degree vegas weather. Thanks all in advance.

Yea thats the bad thing about the rf1000, only the cheekpads are removeable. If your helmet smells really funky just febreeze it or something.

I was considering Fabreeze but i want to clean out all the old ****. Will hot/lukewarm water ruin the fiberglass and the styrofoam? Or is hot water ok?

Ahaha OK, I got my answers on the Shoei website. they said to wash the non-removable liners with a damp cloth and neutral detergent. Ok so my next question would be what is a neutral detergent?

I use a helmet spray. I think it's called Helmet Fresh. Something like that. It's a spray that foams up, then you wipe it off with a wet cloth and leave it to dry.

What kind of detergent did you use?

Haha I didnt use a detergnet because no one that I know, knew what a neutral detergent was. So I went down to local shop and got some Motorex -oil of switzerland, "Helmet Care". It worked great has a two finger trigger and foamed up all inside the helmet. It was for the padding and the outer shell of the helmet. The down side to that was that it cost like 7 bucks for a small *** can. Bu tit did clean and deoderize I would recommend it if you can afford it. lol
