New Intake : )
Well today i received my Weapon-R Secret Weapon Intake. It looks really nice! The welds are outstanding and the quality of the parts is very nice. I assembled the thing today to make sure everything fit, which it does. So tomorrow I'll be installing it onto the car.
Just thought I'd post.

Chances are it will not improve gas mileage because you will be stomping on the gas more to hear the intake, but it could in theory as long as you are light on the throttle.

Weapon R uses pretty pictures when advertising this intake system...like a fireball going through your intake and into the manifold...its rather action packed! hahaha.
Are they still using those **** foam filters? Wasnt Weapon R the company that had that goofy dragon intake system for so long? Just curious...
btw...whats the secret with this weapon?

ar...make it look cool for teenager/young adult?
foam filter can't filter out sh-t, the concept was from HKS, which are used mostly on turbocharged intake, which you want the maxium amount of air to get pressurized.
does weaponR got a carb EO sticker?

yes, if appicable and needed for your model car. It isnt mandatory and I did not receive one, but ahve requested one to be on the safe side.

yes it is a foam filter.
The so called "secret, is inside the piping at the throttle body end of the intake pipe. It has a smaller diameter pipe inside the outer-pipe. This creates a vaccum at the throttle body blah blah blah and is reportedly feeding the engine 3x mroe air

Considereding i got rolled plastic on the back bumper and a gaping hole int he front bumper to the point you can see my entire washer fluid resevoir, i think a small body-kit, unless i can get factory parts for cheap. Not sure on what Im going to do though.
I'm postponing the install til maybe tomorrow. The weather here in southern PA is shitty all day and I dont have a garage.

change your foam filter asap with a K&n .. if your worryed about gas mileage im guess your worried about your engine also.. with a foam filter many particals can get into your engine and eventually ruin it... k&n is a great filter and it still lets the intake breath
honestly, i could really care less.......im selling the car as soon as i get the headers exhaust and throttle rotor on to a friend who owns an AT 97 Accord
Got the intake on today. Wasnt too ahrd except i didnt have the right tools, someone stole my ratchets AGAIN! Once my frined brought over the right tools it was an easy install. Im very pleased. One thing to note, it is a VERY tight kinda fit by the battery. The plastic part around the filter is nudged against the battery, I'm guessing the piping is short by about 2-3inches, but its fine.
I highly recommend this intake
I wrote a review on it @ sromagazine.com
I'm the only person to review it but here's the link if your too lazy to go there by typing it in:
