I've searched but couldn't find anything for VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense) wire location and color for a 5th Gen Prelude. Anybody got a clue?

Specifically mine is a 2001 non-SH.

I'm trying to install a Pioneer AVIC-D1 navigation system and it requires the VSS connection for best accuracy.

for the P13 ( i know you dont have it, but its something at least) the FAQ said its B10 and its a brown wire.

I remember that Apexi-usa.com had online wiring diagrams and I figured that maybe it'll be listed for their Rev/Speed meter so this is what I found. http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfWiring/3.pdf Page 30, diag. H6-a

you can just look at the wire color scheme on your VSS and then search for that by the ECU and trace it. i know it will be a pain, but it would work.

 

I used the info from Apexi's site and it worked out perfectly! I know it doesn't show the wire color, only the pin location. Well, it happens to be Blue/White.

its green and wight, and its on the right hand side of the driving collum on the cruise control unit!!

at least it was for my 97 non sh
