a6 block y8 head need help vtec wont hit on no cel?

a6 block y8 head need help vtec wont hit on no cel?
I heard that the a6 block has a weak oil pump and i would need to change it if i wanted to have vtec. If true what pump do i use a 1.6 or 1.5? I have no cel on a chipped p28. The head has a skunk 2 stage 2 cam, skunk deuce intake manifold, port and polish it should scream but it's a turd! Vtec solinoid clicks on straight power but not on a button. How do i check if head or solenoid has enough oil pressure!!!! Help it's driving me insane!!!!

i ahave never heard of the A6 pump being weak for this set up. can anyopne verify this?
