Default Jdm cluster ????

k guys a buddy of mine hooked me up with a jdm cluster i put it in my 01 itr and the km and tach work fine but the gas and temp don't work at all and when i use a trun sig. the speedo and tach jump up and down? he said that he was told that this was b/c the wire pins on the cluster where for a older car like 95-97 something like that is that true.
so if i get a newer one will it plug and play right?
i saw a guy has a eudm out of an 00 itr would that work right?

please do not put wrong form or use search, i like the itr form and i did try a search didn't find my ?

Yeah when I got my spoon cluster I had the same problem. I took the circuit board piece off the spoon cluster and put my usdm one on.

I just did the cluster swap on mine yesterday.
I ended up opening up the cluster and transfered all the gauges over to my USDM base, or do someone did, transfer the circuit board piece and swap it over, then all will be fine.

Just swap the gauges or the circuit board piece.

depends, swapping the green piece won't always work unless your new cluster you're putting in has the same white backing case. since there's some years with plugs for the srs/abs lights etc.

just like everybody said above, just swap out the entire backing, and you're golden.
