yup.. quite typical of them euro guys to make boser (?) hoods like that with the integrated eyelids.

As mentioned above, it's a Bowser style hood. The portion that covers the headlights is actually molded into the hood. It's got to be shallow enough to allow the headlights to clear when the hood is closed.

Haha, it's definitely not VW specific, maybe in the states, but over here in Europe I have seen it on lots of different cars, from VW to Benz's.
So sad that someone can't make their car look how they want without critisism like that. I am really going to miss being in Europe when I come back to the states, people here are more enthusist, and happily give props to others for putting in work on their cars, even if it isn't to thier taste.

i don't see why he can't like that hood, besides the scoop it's not bad at all. i see it no worse than carbon fiber mirrors(which save .001lbs) or anything like that
i've seen alot more negative posts than actual helpful ones in the past few months, i thought this forum was meant to help people, not make fun of them...
