if memory serves me correctly...

1. turn ignition to ON
2. within 10 seconds, hit valet switch # of times (1 for programin)
3. hit valet switch once more and hold it (alarm should confirm with 1 chirp)
4. press arm on your remote (alarm should confirm)
5. turn ign off

youre done.

if that doesnt work, if you wanna wait a lil i cna send you the .pdf of it; im at work

I got the same alarm and looked it up in my manual. EGPrelude is right except that you should do all that with a door open.

yea i know.. i finally got a hold of an install manual and those instructions are right.. well sorta.. you gotta hit the valet button once then hold it while you press the button on the remote, but that still doesnt work for me. i'm pretty sure i need to buy a whole new remote. what happened is i was kayaking & my keypad got wet. it seems to work fine.. just won't transmit to the box. i took it apart and everything dried, but now nothing....

Did you install it yourself? The shop that did it will do all that for you.

yea.. see the guy who owned the car before me had this installed.. not me! which sucks.. oh well. it seems like the remote works fine.. i mean it lights up and looks good.. when i press the buttom i get the little "no signal" antenna.. like its not reaching the transmitter.. so i'm assuming i just need a new remote. im gonna be pissed if i buy a new one and it still doesnt work..we'll see...

is there something i have to do to the remote to reset it or something??

the alarm is actually getting power to it right? i say this just to cover the basics and what not;

so when you were trying to program the remote, the alarm gave confirmation chirps and everything with the parking lights and the siren?

if it got wet, something is probably wrong with the remote definately

but i understand, its a big investment ($75) if it doenst work. sorry

if you have any friends with a viepr 791xv, or the same alarm or something, you could always try to program their remote to your system and see if it works before buying a new remote
