non-convertible S2000 ?
will this ever happen?
I think it would be a smart move for Honda to make a hardtop S2000 which would save weight, plus make a 2.4 Liter 265 HP version, 2700 Lb. curb weight, single exhaust...just my opinion

They offer a hardtop...as far as saving weight, and single exhaust performance gains, honda isnt building the car for the tuner world...they've dont quite well for 5-6 years now in the roadster nitch...and as far as it being smart...how so? The only cars that are in the same price bracket that are the same are the Miata and now the Sky and Solstice...(which are very lackluster from what they've shown on paper)...so really, their 2 seater roadster setup is quite optimal for their marketing and sales...since theres nothing else under $35,000 new, and even if you bump it up to the next $10,000 bracket ($45,000 or less) the car still tops the list with the likes of the 350Z roadster (which has proven to be a boat), the smaller Z4 (since the 3.0 is over $50,000), and Porsche Boxster (which also exceeds $50,000 but is still put in this bracket many times for some reason).
My feelings are that honda will continue this line for another year...and leave it a convertible since its proven to be quite successful and a pleasure to owners just as it is.

if they decide to keep the S2K, I could see them making a Spec R version of an S2000 ... maybe even an i-VTEC version
I think they are fine with their hardtop accessory item.

the only non-hardtop s2k is a gutted s2k with a permanant hardtop like i want to do...
anyway, i think once they stop making the S its done...their probably going to bring the type r civic over n stop the s2000 production in a year or two...maybe they will bring the prelude back or something...

While that functionally serves the purpose, I do wish Honda would make a coupe or hatchback version, so that the top looked integrated. Maybe thats just me though.
