Sell ITR?
I am guilty of telling others not to sell their ITR, especially for a Mazda. But it seems lately i find myself thinking of selling my R for a 3rd gen RX7. I love my car but i am sick of all the things that go along with owning a honda. Its almost embarassing telling people you own a honda these days. Everyone i talk to says maintaining a RX7 is a nightmare. Has anybody here actually owned a 3rd gen? Im hoping this is just a phase
Well considering I have a Very awesome looking clean RX7 in my shop 70k miles on it and it's getting it's 4th motor now
I would say it's an aesome weekend car but definatley not a daily driver. You wil lfind some owners out there that have 100k miles on thier sevens, but the ammount of people who have blown thier up or only drive it on the weekends will be far more common.

What's the matter with owning a Honda?
You own a Acura, which most people dont know is owned by Honda
You could own a Buick, a Ford, a Chevy, a Pontiac, a Kia, a Daewoo, a Suburu, etc and get a worse response than Honda

Let's face it, more kids know Honda as in F&F. I hate F&F crowd and how they associate Honda with F&F-ism. Even the general public sees a fixed up Honda as F&F... that's not a good thing. And, such ridiculousness (F&F crowd) is a part of owning a Honda in these days.

thats why you say you drive an "Acura".....
3rd gens are fine if you mod them correctly, but few people do. so therefore there are lots of unreliable 3rd gens out there. A friend offered to trade me straight up for my R, he has a 320rwhp, 5k on a new motor and stuff, but i love my car cause I can drive the chit out of it and not worry about a bad tank of gas, or a boost spike, or whatever will ruin my day.

No offense but I think you are telling us you have a self esteem problem (which is why you are uncomfortable about owning a Honda - because of what "other" people think) by what you are writing. Read what you wrote man. It doesn't sound very good.
Did one of the main characters in F&F own a 3rd generation RX7?
(Can't remember any of the character's names because I skipped all the risible dialogue and went straight to the action scenes (which were pretty awful too, BTW.))

Lordy Lordy...If the above is true with respect to you...then yes definitely sell it. I would suggest buying something more mainstream like a Ford pickup - you don't want to stand out or anything....what would all those people think?

No need to buy a Ford Pick up, i already own one, and don't worry its very low key.
No offense but i think your going through what some might call a "Mid Life Crisis" (which is why your a middle aged man and you own a "sports car")
PS; You should sell your R and get a drop top Corvette

Well I bought my Type R because it's the best bang for the buck track car out there.
I would only get a drop top Vette if the Z-06 comes that way.
And since when is 32 midlife? Sorry if I offended you but you sound like a loser.

HA! who knows how old you are considering 10 minutes ago your User Profile said you were 33, now it says 32? hmmmm, thats odd. At this rate youll be in your teens by sunset.
Oh ya i take it back about your mid life crisis, most 33 year old guys drive hooked up hondas and spell "fat" with a Ph

No offense but if you don't like your car then sell it. If you don't like what goes on around it, then sell it. You're probably asking the wrong people if you should keep your car or not. No need to perpetuate the slander war
3rd gen RX-7 is a wicked car, although it's got ups and downs too (as previously mentioned). If you want a turbo with a lot of upkeep then that's the way to go. Fun while it lasts!!!!
BTW, a friend of mine had a 94-95 gen3 R2 with 35 or 40k miles and the engine blew. Mazda replaced the whole thing for free though since it was under warranty. They at least know it's a time bomb

your "way phatter", is that the way you talk to fit in with local teen hipsters. I know your type, bet all your friends are my age or younger. Your "that guy" who lingers around middle schools and lives in your mom's basement. It's ok, keep up the charade, they'll never suspect.
