head milling question.....searched but kind of a specific question *helo
head--
i just picked up a ported p72 head with crower valvetrain, ITR cams, and AEM cam gears
block---
jdm GSR stock 10.6:1 pistons
to make the most out of this setup i'd really like to have the head milled. i was thinking a little over 11:1 is all that i'd want
i'm pretty sure 30thousandths and 2 layer stock HG would get me there, but i don't know how to adjust the cam gears.
So here's my Q's
-any idea what my compression would be?
-would i run into clearance problems?
-how much to i advance each cam gear?
i really need some concrete answers on this, i'm trying to get it together in two days, and i probably won't take it off again once it's on there.

cam timing retards 1 degree per .010 that you mill.....if memory servves me right
ok, i called around to some machine shops yesterday. prices were from 40-50 bucks. I decided to go with the closest one, that quoted me $45. The valves were left in there, since i dropped in off at about 5:30 friday afternoon it's going to be ready on monday.
any guess what my compression will be using a stock HG?

.030 shave on an 10.6 to 1 H22 using stock head gasket yields around 11.4 to 1. The compression calculators are very easy to use. might want to give it a try. Just my two cents.

thanks....don't know how to adjust for a milled head on the compression calculator.
