2nd Gen ZC Swap Information
Well Since ZC cant be searched, i thought I would just post.
I have my 91 HF All stock, and i found a 2nd gen ZC motor that looks clean that I want to swap in. I still need to find a tranny (or use my hf), but I was reading and some say I needed alot of changes. Any help?
Pics of the swap:

Im paying 250 for the whole engine..good?

Well, you have a 91 CRX Hf, which saves you quite a bit of time. You already have mpfi and don't need to convert it, good. I am assuming the ZC you bought is obd-0, i am not sure which obd 2nd gen ZC is.
Assuming its obd-0, you will need a pm7 ecu along with some wiring changes, its minor. I am not sure if you need a different distributor. Everything should be the same.
Transmission: please, for your acceleration's sake, use either the DOHC ZC transmission or the civic/crx si transmission. Maybe put the HF 5th gear into the transmission you choose to use.
EDIT: 250 is a good deal for the complete engine w/o transmission.

Alright, yes im looking for a new tranny. The only thing i didnt like was that ill need new splines, cuz hf is dinky
What kind of usual wiring changes need to be made? Just so i know ahead of time?

You either got to extend 2 wires to the CPS sensor or buy a kit from Hasport for $40 for the Si/HF-ZC, its plug and play if you dont want to do any wiring yourself.
And about the Hubs look at it this way.....at least you will get bigger brakes in the process too.
$250 is a steal btw...
DX or Si tranny both do the motor great justice....please dont use the HF tranny....tha would be a turd...but not as quite as much of a turd it is now.

Heres your ECU options.... From Best to worst
1. PM7...you will pay high for this...
2. 88-89 integra PG7
3. 90-91 Integra PR4
4. PM6
And Mach69 the 1st Gen ZC's and 2nd Gens are pre-OBD, 3rd Gens are OBD-1.

I got the same motor for my 89 si. Here are some things you have to get/replace.
Get:
Cam angle sensor
88-89 integra / 88-91 dohc zc distributor
Replace:
Drivers side engine mount bracket on the motor / swap with original HF drivers side engine mount bracket.
Replace injectors + injector clips
you can fit a 58-60-62mm b-series throttle body on that intake manifold. "not nessesary" but intake manifold will have to be port matched to throttle body.
its 1:15am and I cant think of anything else. "brain fart"

Yup, that is most likely a 92 (OBD-1) DOHC ZC. I know, because I just finished swapping one in.
Plus the lack of cam angle sensor on the exhaust cam side is the tell-tale sign.
Damn man....$250 for block AND tranny?
I hate you
Take a look on the front of the engine around the exhaust manifold, you should see a "92" stamped somewhere. That will tell you it's the OBD-1 model ZC.
Ok, t0eKnEe nailed most of the things I was gonna say
But here are a couple more (I had to look at my notes):
* OBD1 has MAP sensor on top of throttle body - OBD0 has MAP on firewall
* OBD0 has cooling fan switch sensor on back of block next to oil filter - OBD1 has it on the thermostat housing. If you look at the "usual" location where the coolant sensor would be located, you'll see it is filled with a bolt.
* Alternator belt is from 92-95 Civic and NOT the 89 Integra (like the obd0 zcs are)
- trivia: OBD1 ZCs don't have the stock oil cooler on the back of the block like the obd0 blocks.
Hey, can you post the part number of your alternator belt if you get a chance? Or post a pic of it? I want to see which exact one you got with your obd1 zc. Thanks

Good eye, I didnt even catch it not haveing a CPS...yep its a 3rd Gen ZC (OBD-1)
Other than needing a CPS sensor and other stuff listed above, you will have to extend some wires from the old Map sensor plug to match the new plug.
