i think its
bro. not sure if hondata can test it for you. or maybe it has an internal condenser where it shuts off for awhile when it gets too hot...
good luck

im hoping hondata can test it, anyone ever had it tested there or anythign like that? it an't be the whole boar di don't think maybe just a transitor or something.
have you tried it since? they should have a safeguard. if you are out all that money I would just take it apart and look to see if anything seems abnormal. you have nothing to lose now

well tride ti on 2 different cars but i wanna send it into them to see what they say, see if they can maybe help me out or something idk. we'll see.
Modding cars is a money pit, that's just how it is. If you don't like having to spend money, drive a stock Honda, it'll cost you waaaay less. Altering a car creates the opportunity for more problems to develop, and often makes the solution to those problems more expensive.
As for your Hondata issue, California or not, think about how hot it gets inside your car in the summer sun... sitting in the garage is not what killed your hondata. I doubt it ever gets to be 130 degrees inside your garage.

Im in california and it gets 120 degrees outside so 130 in my garage is very easy to get to. But i doubt thats what fried his hondata.
Maybe he accidently dropped it or someone bumped something loose on it?

Wow... if it's 120 outside then I wonder how hot it'd be inside the car.
I was thinking something happened when the unit was unplugged. Those things are very brittle, I'm already on my second connecting cable, and I've only had mine installed for less than a month.

no not from being too hot, what i was thinking is the moisture got to it, during the night or something while it wa sin the garage. The dampness maybe, but STILL im in cali man, doesnt create moisture in the garage but i guess enough? other then then that i can't think of a reaosn why it not working. it doesn't even turn on when u power on ur car(not start it) so idk, gonna clal up hondata and see what they say.
dood, it should get ruined over heat, and if water is getting into it, honda-data did a shitty *** job sealing the case. Get them to fix it, and don't take no for an awnser.
esd= electrostatic discharge . if you are not grounded and you touch the ecu. Zap... example: you are walking on carpet with you shock on and touch a door **** and got shock, same thing happened to the ecu.
just remember whenever you are walking on carpet or on a cold day and you are going to work on your car try to touch something metals to discharge the electrostatic you had ccreated or ground yourself before you touch any electronics.
