hello, i got a honda civic dx, not lowered at all, but i was wondering whether 18 x 7.5 alloys would fit without any rubbing etc

it depends on the tire size...i'm not sure how wide of a rim you can go, but, the 18" will be fine. The car will be incredibly slow with 18's unless you're making at least 200whp

that's pretty big for a civic.

i think if ya putting oon 18" the width might be the problem because i think 7.5" might be to wide for 18". i had 19" 7.5" width on my 99 accord with 35 series tires and it was rubbing.

I wasn't asking why because it's his car. I personally would NEVER go over 15" on a civic, unless you are making over 300whp, then I might go 16" for traction.

I had some 18x7's on one of my old civics and they fit fine with 35's

You could fit 18" but then you'll never be able to lower the car without rubbing. Without lowering it, the 18" are just gonna look, well, jacked up. If your going for the bling, get some lowering springs and stick with the 16's. jmo

you're gonna do nothing but bend wheels with 35 series tire. itll ride like *****. and the taller the o.d. the more effects youre gearing. taller tire = slower acceleration. just get some 15's maybe 16's.

I have 18's w/ a 1.5" drop. Only time I get tire rub is if I turn the wheel completely to the left or right.

Not sure if they're 7" or 7.5". They're going in the trash this summer once I can afford a set of 16" enkei's.

If you wanna go big, the biggest should be like 17s anything over that isn't gonna do much but look goofy and make the car slower. I got 17s and they never rub or anything with plenty of room for a drop.

^^What he said. My DX came with Konig Monsoons in the 18" flavor. They look decent, and I get compliments, but they ride like a Ford, and they rub on full crank.

So yes, you can put them on, but you probobly will have some problems rubbing.
