Sounds like a blown headgasket to me. Have you done a leakdown test to verify?

you need to proper tool....a leak down tester.
Then you hook it up to an air compressor and it measures the amount of air leaking out of the combustion chamber....

For your problem it's more important to find out where the air is leaking out from.

I hardly ever see oil and water mixed from a bad head gasket. 2or 3 out of every 100 I do i'd guess. They have to be really bad.

No it wont if its not a bad crack, it might only open up at a higher RPM. The oil or water in the cylinder can be sealing it during the test. A LEAKDOWN test is the only way to tell if you have a Leak. You know you have a leak cuz you losing fuild, and what fuild is left smells like gas. At this point its one or the other, more than likey it will just be a headgasket. Since they do go, and its not something uncommen like a Cracked sleeve. The only way to be postive is to pull the head. Once its off then youll be able inspect the cylinder walls.

Not having water in the oil doesn't mean the head gasket is NOT blown. If there was simply a blow between a cylinder and the water jacket, no water would get into the oil.

It sound like a head gasket to me. Be sure to have the head checked to make sure its within spec flatness. If its warped you'll be back in there in short order because it will blow again soon. And it is cheap to have the head shaved.
I always torque then drive for a couple hours let it cool completely down then retorque.
