Default car wont crank, oil light on.

i just got done with everything and im tring to get my car to crank its a d16y7 motor and i havent gotten it to run yet. now when i turn the key after the check engine light turns off the oil light comes on and the battery light stays on unless hooked up to a charger.

the car has been sitting out for a while... but it has new oil its a new headgasket, and stuff but other than that pretty much just stock.

the car rotates and half the time sounds like its trying to crank but doesnt. one time it started and cut off with in seconds.

is there any one who has an idea on what i should try first. ive checked the oil its at the right level.

sounds like your battery is so dead that it won't start even with a charger on it..

get a new battery and then try

Oil related-Clogged oil Filter, Open oil cap and check if there is oil on the cam shaft is the head getting oil or is the motor starving for oil .

The car will still start even if there's like 4 drops of oil in it. It will just be damaged severly within a few seconds. Double check the distributor cap for moisture and whatnot. It sounds like it is turning over fine. Are you sure that the timing is correct after you changed the head gasket? Do you know anyone that can do a leakdown test for you?
