looking for 96 ek tail lights that are solid red. no amber signal, no clear backup lights. i've seen these on only one other ek and cannot find them online, so i'm thinking it may have been a custom job. anyone seen this before? know where to find them?

 

you can make your own...

 

probably clears that were spray painted with translucent red paint. You can pick it up at most hobby stores. They usually have amber, black and other colors too.

 

Or you can just paint your stock tails.

It's vinyl but it works, and at least you can take it off if you dont like it later.

wow, his results were excellent. i'll likely just go with this instead of vinyl.

 

just painted mine today..waiting for them to dry ;]

 

post some pics when it's done. (and if the result satisfies you enough) i will try and get mine done within the next week or so. just gotta find a hobby shop near stone mountain.

i did the vinyl on mine, i need to setup my digi, i did not trust my paint skills so i went with it, i havent seen anyone in my area with it, maybe it was my car you saw, 97 ex coupe red. at one time i had the ruby red altezzas, peace

 

use candy apple red spray paint preferably model spray paint ..be careful it might bubble

nah. i saw a green 96 4dr near gwinnet mall. it was so beatufil, IMO. it was like looking at all the things i wanted to do to my green 4dr ek.(except for the mirrors) even more suprising was that a woman was driving that sucker. a rare sight indeed for me. i wonder if they frequent h-t? i could always use more advice on my make/model.

just as a follow up, i did my tail lights too. looks sweet, but i'm not posting pics cuz mah car iz uglay right now. might add another coat or at least get some clear coat on it. best 10 bucks i ever spent.
