Hey, I just finally replaced the belt on my a/c condenser, and the pump wont engage, regardless of where the cabin setting are. The car is a 91 si with a sanden pump. What could cause the clutch not to engage??

First thing's first, make sure it's getting voltage to the coil. That will tell you at least if the wiring has a problem.

 

You never know if someone messed with the wiring/ecu. So i'd check for the 2 terminals at the ecu.

 

low -or- NO freon in the system.

If there is no Freon in the system the clutch will not engage.

 

the a/c clutch could be bad also
