Default Replacing cracked head: questions..

this is on neither of my ITRs, so no one get worried..

when replacing the head(current one) with another used head(of fairly high mileage), is it necessary to have the head magnafluxed and rebuild it, or can I just plop it on as is?

I assume if I had to do this I need to pull the valvetrain and then take it to a machine shop of some reputable nature for this..

I would have it checked for cracks or warping but that would be about it for me provided it worked fine before it was removed

At the very least have it pressure tested and resurfaced.
