Default gas tank Venting??? on Crx b16 swap.

I don't think my gas tank is venting properly since my engine swap. when I get gas and remove the cap there is always a lot of air pressure that releases. is this normal? if not, will it hurt to leave it as is?

When I remove my cap it releases pressure. It has done this for three years and I have had zero problems with my swap. When I fill up my 99 G20 it also releases pressure. I am pretty sure it is normal but it depends on what you mean by alot of pressure.

It SHOULD do that, it's not a bad thing.

Was your gas tank vapor line blocked off ? its right where the main fuel line comes in from the firewall. I think it goes the the charcoal tank, as long as that is vented into the air or the charcoal tank then you should be fine. If it was blocked off, it might be a little dangerous.

I'll check, i noticed some of the vacuum lines have been capped off since the swap also. wonder if this could be related?

Check that vent, and if its plugged it put a breather on it and you should be good to go. or hook up a charcoal canister if your crunchy granola and really mind venting gas into the atmosphere.
