how to blend lip into bumper
i don't want to use filler it will crack with any light impact .want something more durable ,flexible ,and clean.I want the lip and the bumper to look like one .i heard this bumper repair kit or some type of epoxy they use for moldings on corvette .any info would be great thanx
don't do it...your gonna probably end up wanting to take it off on the long run...depending on the lip...trust me...its a lot of hassle for nothing...you'll end up cracking it off...that just my opinion.
I am not sure about the epoxy you are talking about, but the only way i know is to use fiberglass. There is a more technical name, but basically it is fiberglass in a tube. You use it just like filler, but it is extremely hard to sand and a lot stronger. Once you are done sanding you primer, seal, then paint. If you want the more technical name I can find out, but this is the only way I know to do what you want to do.
its one of those valance type lip and it would look almost stock if i were to mold it in it will look smooth and not really loud .someone else mentioned a bumper repair kit that can be used. the fiberglass in a tube thats interesting.thats what i'm looking for corvette uses something to blend in their moldings and such which is fiberglass i'm pretty sure.whats the name of the stuff.thanx for replies.
