Default Flywheel bolts different from vtec to non-vtec

I have a 92 legend 5spd, and found this...
http://www.tunerschoice.com/xq...t.htm

I would like to get a set of them, they are the same size (I have measured what I took off my car)

The stock ones cost about the same, but will take about two weeks to get to me. I would rather have a set of arp forged bolts, than the stock alum ones.

Anyway, on mine, from the underside of the bolt head to the end of the threads is .990" just like the ones on the site, except that mine only have 9/16" worth of thread, and the rest is solid.

need some help...

If the vehicle is a legend, why are you posting this in the Civic/ del sol forum?

because the bolts are for a civic (im assuming the 1.6L vtec/nonvtec engine goes in a civic)

and that is what the part is for

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by RangerJoe &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Anyway, on mine, from the underside of the bolt head to the end of the threads is .990" just like the ones on the site, except that mine only have 9/16" worth of thread, and the rest is solid.</TD></TR></TABLE>

When you say that only 9/16 of the bolt is threaded and the rest is solid, what part is solid? Is the solid part at the end of the bolt or between the head and the threads?

edit:
ok, I drew this up real quick for reference. This obviously shows the solid part between the head and the threads.

As long as your current bolts diameter, pitch and length are the same and your current bolt looks like the one I have pictured above then you should be ok. Acura probably didn't thread that top section because those top threads don't get used.

Also, I don't think it will be an issue but make sure the head height of the two bolts are the same or the new ones are slightly shorter than the stock ones. You wouldn't want the heads of the bolts to interfere with anything.

That is what the legend bolts look like. It looks exactly the same except for the lack of the .409 of threads. (exactly the same as the ones on the website)

My helms manual tells me the bolt is an M12x1.0 though.

Then you should be ok. I don't see why those bolts wouldn't work for you.
