Crunchy 3rd gear. Any help?
First, try loosening off the adjustment nut. As clutches wear, they require adjustment so that they fully engage and disengage.
If it's still a problem, it could be a shot clutch or bad synchros.
Try running some GM synromesh (do a search, GuttedEF's thread is a hug FAQ about it).

i know im going to get flamed up the ying yang, but double clutch it. When you press teh clutch in when your in 2nd, put it in neutrual, then let off the clutch, blip the gas a little, then press the clutch in agian, and put it in 3rd,
It alows the syncros to spin up to speed faster\closer to the 3rd gear. I do this in 2nd, I have a bad crunch in 2nd. If you do it(double clutch) you wont have to blip the gas. It makes shifting like butter.
