Default Please critique my setup...

I just want you guys to look over my setup, and if you see anything that I should do better, or anything I am missing, let me know. (P.S. Am I going to need larger injectors or fuel pump?) Thanks in advance!

Proposed setup:

- Hytech Header
- Custom 2.5" Catback
- Jun 3 Cams
- Toda Camgears
- Jun Valvetrain
- Toda Lightened Flywheel
- Hondata
- JDM Final Drive
- Endyn Rollerwave 12.5:1 Compression Pistons
- Rods (brand???)
- Injectors???

I'm hoping for 210-215whp outta this setup. I hope I'm not being too optimistic.

How is it, that you're 17 years of age, and can afford all of this?

Well Jason, most of the time my parents buy me things for my car, but unfortunately back in 1998 I was HlT by a car while riding my bicycle with my friends, it was a hit & run, but my friends managed to get the licence plate #, and so this money is from that lawsuit.

Get a job and buy your own stuff. It's much better that way, trust me.

I would, but not during school. I have far too much riding on my grades this year than anything else, I care more about those than my car right now, first comes college acceptances, then comes job for car parts.

Ditch the HyTech, get SMSP.
Ditch the JUN valvetrain, get Portflow springs/retainers.
Ditch the Toda camgears, get Skunk2 or AEM w/ upgraded bolts.
Ditch the Toda flywheel, get a Fidanza.
As for rods, you can get by with stock.. unless you absolutely want to use Eagles.
If you're staying stock, replace the rod bolts with ARP's.

Get some 440cc injectors for the Hondata, and with the money you save on the parts I mentioned above, you can dyno the car for like 5 hrs. and STILL buy lunch.

Also, don't forget a pressure regulator...
You'll be about 210 at the wheels, give or take.

Will the Portflow springs and retainers be able to hold a high red line?

- Mike K., will I be running into clearance problems with the pistons if I stick with the Jun 3s?

Maybe your "setup" money should "set you up" for college?

When Mike M. had his C5 in his car, there was Endyn high dome pistons(7.45cc dome), 15 thou off the head, and JUN3 cams.

No clearance issues, but I didn't go more than 4 degrees advance on the intake cam for safety reasons.

Best gear setting were -0.5 intake, +1.0 exhaust

Thanx a lot guys... It really doesn't bother me when people make ignorant comments like that....

Ok sure - so my parents spend a lot of money on me and my car... Big deal? Some of us are spoiled and some were/are not. I have no problem saying that - yes, i am very well taken care of, but there are far more wealthy people in the world than me, even some of my friends... But no.. I am not jealous.. Sure, my friend's father has a Mclaren F1, as well as 57 other cars in his collection, but I don't hate on him... I am happy with what I have and what ever I will be getting..

So come on guys, lets stop hating, and be greatful that we own these Type R beauties!

Cheers

That's a good attitude, you also have to remember that there are people who can't affoard a meal every day, let alone a McLaren F1.

Just to put things in perspective.
