Tight! Howcome your corner bulb seems super dim though? It would look way better if both the corner and the main housing had the same amount of luminosity(sp?).

I don't know why the corner bulb seems so dim. you can't even notice it when the corner light is on during daytime.

you can see the bulb in the lens only if you look close, but it's pretty clean and cheap. you can save alot of money this way.

hmm. I dont know. You spliced into the corner bulb light wire to that city light, right? Maybe it's because you used like a thicker gauge wire? Or... maybe because the bulb in the housing is a different kind of bulb w/ a high lumninosity? but really i dont know anything about that stuff.. just a guess.

 

I have the j-spec ones on my four door presently; the ones that you did look great. Great job on the install looks OEM, and the photo was taken during the day, yours show up alot better than mine "you can hardly see mine on durning day light hours..

Only question i would have is how would you wire them up so that they dont go on with your turn signals or head lights???

 

about the wiring. since it's a Si and has cruise control but I took the cruise control unit out when I first got the car. I connected the positive wire to one of the cruise control wires (light green color) under the dash and hooked the ground to the head light ground wire. This way, it turns off its self when I turn the car off. I think this is also why it's so bright. at night, I don't have to use my headlight if i change the amber bulb to OEM. it's like a delso foglight.

I once tried to hook the pos+ wire to one of the corner wires which does not go on with your signal, but it was very dim.

to answer your question, I think most people do it this way (hook it up to the corner wire) or get a switch if you don't want to use it with the corner or headlight. sorry if this doesn't help

 

So the city lights are always on.,and when u turn off your car the lights turn off also...

that's right. since the cruise control button won't work when your car is off.
you can turn it off while your driving thought, basically i'm just using the cruise control button as the city-light switch.

Thicker gauge wire has less resistance, so it would not cause the light to be dimmer. Odds are, the dimmer bulb has a lower wattage, so it's output is not as bright. If both lamps were equal wattage, they would divide the voltage across them and, at least in theory, have the same light output.

 

someone should add this to the FAQ part at the top of the page... i doing to do this to my car today.

That looks damn good. Here is a pic of my $500 CTR's:
