Default rpm's rising while braking

This just started tonight, If I'm coming to a stop with the car in neutral then the engine will rev to 1500rpm and sit there until I am stopped and off the brakes. I have checked vacuum lines and all seem ok. The car idles great while sitting just not while braking. Any ideas?

its normal, i think. when u hit ur brakes u use ur power booster which is controlled by vaccuum which comes from ur intake manifold which will take away some vaccum which will cause ur idle to go up

regardless if you're hitting the brakes, it is normal for the type r to stay at a steady rev of 1500 or so then drop down to about 900 when it's normal. definitely noticeable when off the highway.

Try pumping the brake pedal when the car is idling normally. The rpm will rise.

Is it possible you were on crack for the past 4 years, and then forgot to hit it yesterday?

Don't worry man, I always ask myself "is this sound normal?" etc... but my car is beyond help.

Ya I've read some of your posts regarding your car and it's rough to have a 350 whp itr that you track, I know. Except I do it on stock brakes and without an oil cooler. I only do 10 minutes at a time in Solo 1, none of this lapping day bullshit.
