Randomly my EPS light comes on......i turn off the car...turn it back on...and it goes away....this happened once by my house and i ignored it kinda.....happened again when i was about 2 hours away from home on vacation....the steering wheel getz hard...(dont have power steering) turn it off....turn it back on went away...drove home slow....but it never went on again......this kinda scares me because if i am takin a turn at a high speed and i lose my power steeering. i will not be a member of H-T anymore and that would be bad.....lol so anyone got any idea's as to what my problem is?

Yup basically we got Electronic Power Steering...no more fluid and belt

i knew we had that feature, but i just thought the EPS light was for something else...

 

You need to have the EPS system checked for trouble codes. The EPS control unit stores trouble codes just like the ecu. I had an experience with the EPS light coming on in a friend's '02 S2K. Had a trouble code stored for EPS unit failure. Replaced the EPS control unit and the problem was fixed. Car was under factory warranty at the time.

 

get it checked out at the dealer. i hope you're under warranty

Waitin for you to post...... hahah......yah...unfortunaltey i do not have manufacturers warranty...although i do have extended warranty.....so i am gonna see wut happens with that.....if not...my buddy works at honda....he offered to hook it up...
