91 civic dx swap

Default 91 civic dx swap

ive had a 91 civic dx for a while that im not using anymore, and id like to make a car just to use on the track, anyways my question is, will i be able to put an engine with a hydro transmission in it, or can i only put a cable trans in, or if i get a newer engine(97-01)can i just put the tranny from the 91 dohc vtec engine??

If you use the Hasport hydro tranny kit, then yes, you can use a hydraulic tranny in your car. The other option is to use a cable tranny with the newer motor like you mentioned.
