91 civic DX Cable tranny into my 98 Civic EX??
Ok, I have a 91 civic hatchback DX 5 speed with a good tranny in it. And I have a 98 Civic EX D16Y8 automatic. Would it be possible to swap all the needed parts out of my 91 into my 98 for a auto to manual conversion? with the Avid cable to hydraulic conversion kit? Please let me know if this is possible and what else I would need or what kind of troubles I might run into.

you would be a lot better off going with a 96-00 ex manual tranny, it bolts right up and is hydro. The hydro trannys are a ot better than cable ones, why would you wanna use one of those? I know you probabally have it lying around but I'd just go find a hydro one it would be so much easier.

Well could I still be able to use the Shifter assembly, Linkage, pedals, or any other parts like that off of the 91 on my 98? and then use a 96-00 tranny? It would be a hell of alot easier then going around looking for each part when I have them all just laying around.
