Default Swap issues

Ok, before I get flamed I've tried searching but alas the 2 character limit has kept me from searching with 00, 97, or ex. Ok my friend blew the motor in his 2000 Civic Ex, ran it extremely low on oil, spun a bearing, that whole thing. Anyway after much searching on this site we decided to throw a B16A in there as a replacement. The donor car was a wrecked 97 del sol. So we pulled the old motor and noticed that on the lump of D16 that was in there the wiring harness is connected directely to the ECU. When we compared this to the B16 we noticed that the B16 had different plugs. Anyway long story short we went back to the junkyard and pulled the whole damn harness from the del sol. Now the plugs we need between the engine and the ECU are tied into the harness from the Del sol. Do we just disassemble the wiring harness(delsol) to retrieve what we need or do we just pull the harness from the D16 and put it on the B16, most of the plugs look similar?? Thanks in advance.

The harness from the D16 however doesn't plug directely into the ECU from the Del Sol. One of the plugs doesn't seem to fit.
