6 speed converson on my prelude
Ok i want to do a six speed conversion with my prelude.. i want to know does any one know what tranies out there will be compatible with my car.. its a 93 h23, i am also considering converting to v-tech and installin the 22 crank. but i mainly need to know about the trany

ok.. don't care much for the spelling just as long as it works.. i talkin to a buddy of mine that says it is possible.. there is some type of new model coming out that will fit it.. just wanted to know if anyone else knows anything .. i haven't had a chance to talk to my buddy in a while some my resource is limited.

the nearest thing i can think of off hand is the rsx type s tranny thats a 6speed...
But still it wont even come close. I know some of the acura CL parts fit our cars, like the flywheels, but i dont even know if the CL type s came with a 6speed.

1. unless your considering swapping a K-series in there, good luck, I've never seen a 6 speed tranny compatible w/ a H-series engine.
2. There would be no real purpose to having a 6 speed on an H-series
3. Why don't you just swap in a F20 , dat way you gotz rear wheel drive and M@D V-TECH YO!#%!!

too bad an RSX tranny will give you 6 gears in reverse and 1 forward gear.
ask yourself "why do i want a 6speed?" and once you come up with no good answers, you'll realize why it's a waste of time.

those use AC to DC adaptors w/o mods, know before you flame moron,

well my goal although crazy is to have the fastest prelude.. top speed wise... no excel wise.. i figure a six speed will allow me to reach higher levels of speed. its just a thought.. i wanted to see if it was actually possible using the H series motor. i'll take what you guys are saying into consideration. i tried lookin it up only and it was no help thougth you guys might be able to give me some ideas..

like i said before.. as long as you know what i mean and it work i don't care much for the spelling.. and it was a few errors i think these guys could handle that. i'm not writing an essay

I suppose you havn't investigated the ratios of honda's FF 6 speed trannies very much if you're expecting a signifigant speed boost from the m4d 7igh7(!) 6th gear.

That's really not the issue. Most people that spell vtec as v-tech don't know enough about it to considering modding it. Sorta tips your hand...
