if i remember correctly, theres a little triangular piece on the inside of the car by the mirror, take that off and there will be a couple of screws, take those off and itll come off. that could be completely off but it's been almost a year since i did it so...

you are right. it will be alot easier to take out if u take off the door panel. its not required though.

How do I pop the little triangle thing off?

I tried that a few days ago and it didn't want to budge.

it should just pull off, there is a metal clip in the middle of that triangle thing that clips on to the door. if you cant pull it off, use a flat head screwdriver and try to pry that sucker out slowly...you dont want ot break anything.

when i removed my mirrors to paint my car i had to pull the door panels. The plugs for the mirrors are clipped into the doors behind the door panels. So i would say it would be easier to just pull the door panels.....
