Default unknown problem(s)

Hello. I'm not especially knowledgeable with this, so I could use some expert opinions. I've got a problem with a '92 Accord LX. 220k miles, clutch a few months ago, smog last month. No major work or mods recently.

The car is shaking/shuddering, particularly while idle, but while moving at lower RPMs too. I can also hear the exhaust from inside the car; a pattering noise that seems much louder/slower than usual. In addition, it has a slight hesitation when starting, as if the battery were low. These problems all started suddenly; first noticed it after getting off the freeway, & parking at home.

Most of this seems to indicate an exhaust problem to me, but I'm more or less a newbie. Anyone experienced something like this, or have any ideas as to what would cause these symptoms? Thank you for any input.

have you ever changed your air filter?.... and how recently have you changed the spark plugs and you might want to replace your pcv valve located on top of your valve cover. those are some simple things that could help out a bit..i dont know what exactly would cause that

it could be your idle air intake valve i think that what its called you might need to adjust it or it could also be that one of your vacume lines is disconnected
