I need an inline fuel pump... which one do I buy???
Please don't flame, I am not new to this site but I am new to posting in FI forum, my girl and I just finished turboing her d16a6 motor, we used a IHIRHB5 snail, I know it's small and crappy but it's her daily driver/economy bucket and we built it to be just that. We used a talon IC, 12:1 fmu, you know, your basic ef shitbox... question is, what type of inline fuel pump do I buy? A buddy that has some turbo expierience under his belt has helped me out and said that I need something that flows " at least 90 psi" now his english isn't very good so I couldn't get him to explain further. Is 90 psi the pressure in the line after it leaves the inline pump? that's what I gathered. Also all the inline pumps on ebay state the LPH that they flow as opposed to the psi they flow. Any insight into this will help. I am pretty sure a walboro 255 lph is what I want but don't want to buy the wrong one. Thanks in advance.
you dont wanna use an inline pump with an fmu, just use an intank like a 255 walbro and that flows more than enough for the motor

Not quite.. The intank pumps can't handle the high fuel pressure by themselves, do a search.
The MSD inline fuel pumps are fairly cheap and work well, I think summit racing has them for ~$90-95 new.

god why does everyone say just use a walbro? has no one ever looked at the fuel flow charts for a walbro (even the HP one) at super high fuel pressures?? they drop right off.
ben at importparts sells an airtex inline pump, that's what I used until I got rid of my FMU

how much does the airtex flow. I will be running an inline fuel pump to a surge tank. Should be good for over 500 though I plan to be under.
