Default CLUTCH!

Just wanted to know what clutch you guys are using and recommand. My car just hit 30,000 miles and I wanted to change the factory clutch. Was think ACT or Exedy, something that grips more then factory. What do you guys think? Thanks for the info.

I've got an ACT XTSS with their Prolite flywheel. That clutch may be a little extreme for you so you may want to look at their HDSS. Depends on your mods though.

well I don't want to change the flywheel, just keep it factory. As for mods. I just have Tanabe cat-back exhaust and intake. That was the one I was looking at to get. Does it feel comfortable as a daily driver? And how is the pedal?

why do you want to replace your clutch with only 30k miles? is the stock clutch that bad or worn?

replacing the clutch can be an expensive, and i would suggest the clutches you mentioned for cars with higher hp. if you have just an i/e setup, you really don't need to replace. there are better ways to spend $500.

The HDSS is a very little bit heavier than a stock clutch, but it is not bad at all. I've only ever been in a car with it once though, so my memory may be off.

clutches can last along time. i would leave it alone, unless the throw-out bearing or pilot bearing is making noise, or if the clutch is slipping. clutch replacment can be expensive esp. if you pay someone to do it.
ontop of all that it wont make your car faster.

yeah, i would totally keep the clutch untill it dies. unless you plan on going for high hp, there's no need to swap it out yet.

With only 30k miles on the car your stock clutch is still a baby bro.
What are you planning to do with the car?
Road Racing ( nasa, scca) ?
Auto Xing?
Drag Racing?
Daily driving?
I have been running with NASA and have done many events with the stock clutch doing the job just fine.
I have 85k miles on my car and the clutch is still going strong.

Spend that extra cash on a race header or hondata bro.

If you want to do a clutch install, wait till you get a flywheel, lsd so you may do it all at one time while the tranny is open. In the end it will save you alot of cash.

Good luck bro.

Thanks guys for the info. The thing is the car(clutch) drives funny sometimes. Sometimes when I'm taking of it fills like its the first time I'm driving stick, the car wants to stall out or it grips to fast and it charps. Then other days when I'm pushing the car hard it runs great. So it fills like the clucth is slipping. I want to set up the car for daily driver and drag racing. I do plan on upgrade cams and getting Hondata, I just want to get the clucth out of the way before working on the head. So just trying to figure out what is wrong.
