we all know flat top pistons create best combustion spaces and less hot spots(detonation resistance). for my all nitrous project (erl superdeck 2 84mm b18c1 shortblock with b16a1 head) i want this advantage. alltough for maintaining good NA power and nitrous i "need" (read prefer) a c/r of about 11:1.

given the stroke and bore, what highest compression piston is gonna be flat. 9.0 is flat, duuh. but is 9.8 or maybe 10 still flat? what else can i do to raise my compression on a flat top piston without spending 1g on combustion chamber reshaping?and what max cc piston is still flat and what ~ compression would that yield on a head with thin hg and flat faced valves.
