no spark or fuel pump wtf
i put in a 95 dx engine and wired it all obd-0. it has a crx si intake manifold. when it was all put together the fuel pump would work, so we changed in 3 different fuel pump realay and it still wouldln't work. so we hard wired it. it ghetto, but i thouhgt it would get the car to start. nope. now i'm not getting any spark. not that i was before but now only have one problem. why won't it spark. i've checked everything. anybody? hit my up with ideas.

i agree, same thinghappened on my friends integra. check the coil. check the terminals(explained in any haynes, helms(reccomended) or chiltons) and if they arent in spec, replace it. i heardits not a sure way of knowing but if it shows as bad, u know its the coil then. how many miles does it haveon it?

I do not agree....not at all. You swapped in a motor and now your not getting spark or fuel. The fuel pump is no were near the motor. Sound like your missing the ground on the thermostat housing, or somewere else and i think it is related to the spark problem also. You are running an obd-0 dizzy correct??
Oh yeah hook up the damn fuel pump the same way it was. The fuel pulse runs off the dizzy. If noone beleives me, and their car is running correctly, turn the key to "on", un bolt the dizzy and turn it manually by hand. You will hear the pump pressure up over and over.

i am running obd 0 and everything worked perfect before the swap. i'm going to check for a ground wire on the thermostat housing. if that doesn't work i have a obd1 dizzy, how hard would that be to use. could i use it without switching everything to obd1. help please
ok i checked the ground on my thermostat. it was undone. i put it on and now my fuel pump is working but my car still won't get spark. does anybody have any ideas. i would really appriciate the help. i want to get my baby running, even though its a piece of ****.

i have a 90 crx si with a 95 civic dx motor. it has all obd0 parts on it and everything is hooked up. the last motor that was in it ran but had a blown head gasket. the car set for almost six months. not i got this new engine and i'm trying to put it in just to get me back and forth to work while i get new pistons for the old engine. i manually wired the fuel pump because no matter what i tried i couldn't get it to prime. now i'm getting fuel, but no spark. i really don't know what the **** is wrong with it. the biggest problem is that i had the car at my friends house while it was broke down and he had a crx and was stripping parts off of it. i wrecked my other crx and am now trying to put this one together. i don't know what is wrong with it. i took the dizzy apart and it looks good on the inside. any suggestions??
