what happens if o2 sensor is not on while on dyno
I'd like to know this too but it will throw a cel code and it's possible you will get more power from running richer
anybody clarify this?

I don't see how running richer is going to help you. If you're run too rich you're going to lose power, and usually that's what happens when you throw a CEL that's related to the O2 sensor; it runs the car rich as a safety measure.
