Default Launched at the strip and....

I went to the dragstrip tonight with my b16 hatch. On my 1st run I launched and got some bad wheelhop, then driving back to the pit area I noticed that the car felt really darty. I got out and noticed the wheels were toe'd out really bad.

I just lowered the car about 2 1/2 inches 3 weeks ago, the toe was really bad and then I got a full alignment, but after that launch it messed the toe up really bad.

What could have caused this? Is it possible for something to have broken in the rack and pinion?

TIA

so the radius rod arm bushings that are in the front crossmember are shot? If thats the problem that's great, cause I have traction bars waiting to be put on.

I'll have to jack it up today and see if that's it

It wasn't the front radius rod bushings. I noticed a boot on my tie rod was torn, looks like it was torn for a while. I think something slipped or stretched in the tie rod somewhere...not really sure what to replace or how to replace it

Anybody else have this problem before?

after you find out the problem you should invest in a camber kit.

???

I have an ingalls camber kit, my camber is dead at zero.

I don't know anything about inner and outer tie rods, but the deal with the ball and socket and about a 4 inch rod with threads on it prolly neads to be replaced...i think the threads that go into the actual rack itself slipped

I'm just gonna go ahead and get a complete reman rack and pinion, found it for 150, 120 with the cores. Comes with new inner tie rod ends and the pinion, pre assembled...hell of a deal
