What is needed to swap a 94 gsr motor into a 96 ek hatch? Like what kind of mounts i need and engine harness? Everything else should work from the gsr motor right?

 

you know this wont be legal in ca right? did you search?

 

OBD1 >>> OBD2 conversion harness, mounts from the B18C to combine with the EK stockers, the GSR shift linkage, GSR axles and the GSR ECU.

Maybe he does, but many of the rest of us don't .

Don't do it.

It's illegal everywhere. However if you choose to do it, you'll need the B-Series mounts. You'll need B-series linkage, you'll need the EK wiring harness, adding VTEC pressure, solenoid, and knock lines (maybe). You'll need obd2 injectors, obd2 dizzy, a secondary o2. I dunno, I can't remember everything else. Just off the top of my head. I haven't done a B-swap in a few months.

 

im not worried about being legal or not since my teg is a fully built lsv turbo w/out cat. and i wont pass smog if the world depend on it. I've just forgot which mounts and harness would make it easiest for swapping in a ek so i dont have to have a big downtime. supportRhonda i think your the one that really needs professional help

 

Here is what I have heard. You can use your stock harness and repin/lengthen wires that you'll need. I do believe a single cam vtec harness will work with a P72 (gsr ecu) but some wires still need lengthened.On a GSR I'm not sure on the mounts. For a b16 you gotta use the 99 -00 rear mount so I don't if it's the same for the GSR motor.

I just finished my swap last nite, Mounts needed:
-99-00 SI rear bracket
-99-00 SI Driver side mount (block attached)
-GSR Front tranny mount w/ civic studs (or 99-00 SI mount)
-A/C -- 99-00 SI mount or 93-95 Del sol (i think those are the year for the del mount)

Others:
B series linkage
B series axles and halfshaft

on the driver side upper mount can i reuse the stock mount? it looks like it'll work but im not positive. So the wire harness i can reuse the stock one but just repin it right? OBD2 dizzy, starter and prob a jumper harness with the obd1 ecu?

 

if you mean the mount on the frame yes u can use that stock one... and as per the wiring, i used my dx harness and its running fine, repining is a must and b series starter and obd2 b series alternator as well!
