Default On my sohc throttle body what is that tube at the top for???

I have a y8 manifold and a gsr throttle body ready to go in my car.

On my stock throttle body it has this tube on top that connects a hose to a canister. I have no idea what that is. Can someone tell me. HAHA I feel stupid for not knowing.
There is also an extra tube coming off the y8 manifold that looks like that hose could connect to. Is that gonna work?

Also it looks like I may have to make the peice that holds the throttle cable. Is there a peice I should be using so I don't have to make this?

I'm pretty sure I have everything figured out but I would just like to confirm these things with you guys before I rip my engine apart and then find myself stuck.

Thanks in advance

I can help you if you clarify everything. What engine do you have? Is the y8 mani something you are swapping on or is your engine a y8? And where is the extra tube on the manifold located?

What does this do exactly?

The GSR throttle body I am putting in doesn't have this. So will this be a problem? And like I said there is an extra tube to plug something into on the y8 manifold I will also be putting in. Is it fine to plug it there? If all else fails I can just plug it and see what happens. I'm just really curius what the heck it is for mainly.

I ported and polished the throttle body and manifold. Should look pretty cool once it's in. Gonna do a bit of wire tucking while I have everything out also. The ricer in me coming out.

The evap can doesn't get attached directly to your throttle body. There should be a tube going from the evap can to the PCS valve, then from the PCS valve to a vacuum source.

It would help if you had pics - my engine is a y8 and I don't have a tube on top of the throttle body. The only thing on top of a y8 throttle body is the MAP sensor.

And the "extra" tube on the y8 mani - is it on the flange where the mani bolts to the head?
