b18c1 & b16a2 usdm vs. jdm
So what's the difference between the jdm and usdm versions besides the different compression? Better cams? rods? pistons? valves? what is it? I'm looking to swap one of these, and I'm just wondering, if I do end up with a usdm one instead of a jdm one, what I can do to bring up the hp besides cams, ecu and i/h/e.
Thanks,
Colin

You know, I jsut got the cash in hand and now I am faced withthe same question. I have $3500 to work with($4500 in 2 months) and I am ready to get this thing started. My searches all turned up hundreds of seller pages but nothing of comparison. -----What I am looking to find out is if the differences are worth the difficulty it may be to replace parts and wire-----

Besides slightly higher compression, SOME jdm engines have slightly more aggressive cams and different pistons than their usdm counterparts and therefore have a slightly higher power output. For the most part there is no real significant difference between the two engines other than saying "yo I got a jdm engine". Since most of us upgrade the engines internals etc, it makes the differences between the two engines negligible.
