ok so i just got done with my jdm d15 in my 89 si hatch.... the problem is that when i try to start it, it cranks but wont turn over.... i dont know what it is... i can hear the fuel pump go after my key clicks twice... but im not to sure if the obd1 dizzy is working or not... the only cel im throwing is code 10 which is ta sensor... could that be the reason why its not starting... and im pretty positive that it might not be getting a spark... (how do i check if my dizzy works or not?)... im using rywire's obd0-obd1 conversion... obd1 dizzy... virgin p28... and im really dissapointed right now so if any one of you can help that would be greatly appreciated....

mine did that when I did a dpfi to mpfi swap. I swapped the ecu with an si and it cranked right over. The easiest way I check spark(not too recommend though) is to get some one else to crank it while you hold the plug wire end that goes to the plug off the side of the head(inside the plug hole) and look for an arc. Do some searching, im sure it says a better way to check it somewhere on here.

 

thats how I check for spark. hold it against something metal and look for an arc. check your timing, check your firing order (if it cranks and then makes a choking popping sound, its usually your firing order). I am not sure but if you have a service port in your fuel rail crank the car a lil and then press in the schrader valve and see if there is any fuel.

dude u should have got the jdm zc ecu it would run it just fine are u throwing any codes
