Cam gear adjustment
I have a milled head of.028 and high compression valves and 2 layer head gasket and I just got stage 1 skunk2 cams and jg cam gears and I was wondering how I should do the cam timing on the dohc?
you cant just guess, you have to put it on a dyno, every engine is different, what will work for you wont work for someone else even using similar setup, i wouldnt trust the butt dyno on this one, ive seen it be decieving in these cases

since the head was milled both of the cams will be retarded just a little. but yeah... take it to a dyno and have them adjust them.

I think you are a retard for messing with advanced cam gears. You CANT just play with them till something feels right. You need to take that thing in and get some information from a data logger. You are going to screw up your motor by "playing" around with them like that. Dont be cheap take it to a shop slap it on a dyno and get that thing dialed in.

keep them at factory spec till you get the dyno and tuner. and never for get your ignition timing :-P
and this is why i love SOHC lol
if you go to a good engine tuner with a reliable dyno, they'll know where to start and should be able to pull out more power. they should run a wide band (yes even on yur NA car)... if you have a stand alone, make sure they deal with that brand, if you have a hack... well most people can use a hack.
