Does anyone know what engine a 2001 HONDA CIVIC SI comes with stock? Any recommendations on a cold air system for it? Thanks.

 

Wasnt 2001 the only year they didnt make the Si? O your in canaduh might be diff for you

All cold airs are the same just get the one that looks nice to you. THey all perform the same.

Seeing as how you're from T.O. I assume you mean the Canadian Si (American EX), and not te SiR (American Si), which didn't even exist in '01 anyway.

Anyhow, the engine on an '01 Canuck Si/Yankee EX is a D17.

I know they came out in 2001 in Europe, but not sure if the Ep2 came out in Canada the same year, too. I know for sure that they did in 2002, though.

Canada never got the EP2. Aside from the Acura EL, Canada's Civic lineup is identical to the States'.

 

Thanks for the info Phil! I thought y'all got that damned Ep2. I guess that's just a Euro thing. Good. It only had a D16 anyway. I love the EL, but too bad they didn't swap the K20a3 in it instead of the D17.
