Default blown clutch or tranny read inside for symptoms

Ive been hearing this clicking noise lately when i engage the clutch from a stop to a go. Also i would get a realy loud knocking noise coming from my engine bay with the clutch engaged. if i disengaged the clutch the sound would go away.

Well yesterday I was driving in third gear and out of no where the car just starts to slow down just like that so i coast the car over to tthe side of the road and the car is still running with my foot off the clutch and in gear. I tuened the car off and engaged the the clutch and started the car again, only when i tried putting it in gear with the clutch engaged it would make this horrendus noisebut if i took my foot of the clutch i could shift through every gear while the car was running with no grinds but obviously the car wouldnt move. I just purchased this Hydro JDM 98 spec itr tranny, and maybe put 100 miles on it. Im almost positive that the throwout bearing and clutch took a **** on me? any other insight from you guys would help. Im dropping the tranny this week. And what clutch would you guys recommend for a car putting down 189whp (its a jdm itr motor)
