Default 93 si lude keeps dieing?????

My lude keeps dieng after start up and runs for a few minutes then dies suddenly. Has happened a few times and after waiting a few hours or having it towed to the shop it starts right up. Please give me any ideas or if this ever happened to you what solved it....

how's the coil?

i imagine everything is fine with things relating to air, so i'd first be checking fuel (pump? perhaps), spark, and other electrical. but that would depend if there were temperature problems etc.

are you throwing any codes?

more info needed, like what have you/shops checked so far?

best of luck

It must be some type of electrical. Its getting gas definity. YOu can smell the gas in the tail pipe after turning it over several times. Cant get any codes because by the time its at the shop it starts up.

check your coil as per 23-100 of the helms (or search these forums on how to do it) you'll need a multimeter. i'd also take a look at the cap and rotor.. weird that it would be intermittant tho, could also just the pgm-fi main relay - i've heard those can act up? - but i've never had a prob with it myself and i'm not 100 percent it would give symptoms like you describe, i think the car wouldn't even attempt to turn over at that point.

Finally i would also check the ICM (ignition control module inside the dizzy) 23-98 of the helms you'll need a multimeter for that too.

best of luck.
