Not 100% sure but I believe it has something to do with the idle while the ac is on. I only know cause I asked someone since mine isn't connected.

That's the air boost/starting air valve. It just gives a little boost of air when you start the car. It's basically useless.....

Yea, I just read in another thread that it really is useless. I wish I could just remove it

I've been using an OEM plate to plate to block mine off. The problem is it's been so long I can't remember what it came off of, maybe an F22 Manifold.

Fast Idle Thermo Valve. Allows the engine to idle normally when the coolant is cool.

That too, but mainly it makes the car idle a bit higher until the engine is warmed up, hence fast idle thermo valve.

just took mine off today... and cleaned it... man that brake cleaner left in there made LOTS of smoke.. be forewarned... didn't seem to hurt anything so it's all good

this is like the honda part guessing game

edit.. I just realised I pulled off and cleaned out the IACV I thought it was the FITV and I thought the FITV was the EGR... haha i was bassackwards
