Default quick sea-foam question???

Im going to try to use sea foam on my motor tomorrow! I just got my bottom end rebuilt but my car still smokes when i get up on her! My room mate told me to just but a bottle of it into a full tank and just drive! im going to atlanta tomorrow nite (3 hour drive) its about a full tank of drive away so i figured it would be the perfect time to try it out. my question is does sea foam work, will it clean out some of my carbon in the motor and is it safe to use in my car?

Im asking because im runnin 12:5:1 compression motor (ctr pistons in a gsr, tuned w/ hondata ) will this bump up or down the octain of my gas??? because im kinda skeptical of using it with that high of compression! Hope you understand what the hell im trying to ask here and thanks for lookin

Dude, as far as it still smokin'...I highly doubt that it is built up carbon. Smoke for long amounts of time after a rebuild could be tons of things.

Common probs include rings placed upside down.

Id research things a little more before relying on Seafoam.

Let us know what u find out and what happens.
